Terms & Conditions

This is a general template and should be reviewed by a qualified lawyer before production use.

These terms govern your use of the Zariya website and mobile app. In short: Zariya is a marketplace that connects you with independent verified workers at fixed, transparent prices — read on for the details.

Zariya is a marketplace platform that connects customers who need home services with independent skilled workers — electricians, plumbers and AC technicians — in Pakistan.

Workers on Zariya are independent service providers. They are not employees, agents or representatives of Zariya. Zariya does not itself perform the services; it provides the technology to discover, book, track and rate them. The service contract for any job is between the customer and the worker.

You must be at least 18 years old and capable of entering a binding agreement to use Zariya. You agree to provide accurate information (including the booking address) and to keep your account credentials secure. Customers sign in on the website with Google; workers register through the mobile app only — there is no worker account access on the website.

Common tasks ("sub-services") have fixed prices listed on the platform. Your booking total is the sum of the tasks you select, shown before you confirm. For diagnosis (general) visits, the listed price covers the visit and inspection; any additional work is quoted by the worker on-site and agreed between you and the worker before it begins.

Zariya charges workers a platform commission on completed bookings. The commission rate is shown to workers in the app and does not change the price a customer pays.

Prices shown at the time of booking are locked into that booking. Platform prices may change over time, but changes never apply to bookings already confirmed.

Payment is currently cash on completion: the customer pays the worker directly, in cash, once the job is done, at the price confirmed at booking (plus any on-site work the customer explicitly agreed to). Zariya does not collect advance payments on the website. Never pay in advance or outside the agreed price — report any worker demanding otherwise to support.

Customers may cancel a booking free of charge while it is pending or accepted, providing a brief reason. Once a worker is on the way or has arrived, please contact support to coordinate instead of cancelling unilaterally — workers spend time and fuel to reach you.

Workers may decline or cancel bookings they cannot fulfil. Repeated no-shows or abusive cancellation patterns by either side may lead to account restrictions or removal from the platform.

Every worker is identity-verified (CNIC and live selfie) before they can accept jobs, and carries a rating built from completed bookings. Verification confirms identity; it is not a guarantee, warranty or certification of the quality, safety or outcome of any particular job. Customers should use ratings, reviews and their own judgment when selecting a worker, and workers remain solely responsible for the work they perform.

When using Zariya you agree not to:

  • Provide false information, impersonate anyone, or create accounts for fraudulent purposes.
  • Harass, threaten or abuse workers, customers or support staff.
  • Attempt to take platform bookings off-platform to avoid commission, or solicit workers or customers for competing services.
  • Misuse ratings or disputes (for example, false reviews or fraudulent damage claims).
  • Interfere with the platform’s operation, security or other users’ access.

Zariya currently operates in selected Pakistani cities and depends on worker availability, connectivity and third-party services. We do not guarantee that a worker will be available for every request or that the platform will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may modify, suspend or discontinue features with reasonable notice where practicable.

To the maximum extent permitted by the laws of Pakistan: Zariya provides the platform "as is" and is not liable for the acts, omissions, workmanship or conduct of independent workers or customers; for indirect or consequential losses; or for loss arising from events outside our reasonable control. Where liability cannot be excluded, Zariya’s total liability in connection with a booking is limited to the platform commission earned by Zariya on that booking.

Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability arising from our own fraud or wilful misconduct.

If something goes wrong with a booking, raise it with support (WhatsApp or email, with your booking reference) or through the in-app dispute feature. We will review disputes in good faith, may contact both parties, and may apply remedies such as mediating a resolution, adjusting ratings, or restricting accounts. Using the dispute process does not limit any legal rights you have.

We may update these terms as the service evolves. The "Last updated" date shows the current version; significant changes will be announced through the app or website. Continued use of Zariya after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.

These terms are governed by the laws of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan. Subject to any mandatory legal provisions, the courts of Pakistan shall have jurisdiction over disputes arising from these terms or the use of the platform.
